Although the puppies aren't due for about another week, we have been hard at work in preparing for their arrival. Pictured below is the whelping box a friend and I built a couple weeks ago.

August 20, 2015
Hoosier gave birth to 4 puppies yesterday. It was a very long day for everyone involved, especially her! While some unfortunately did not survive, we are beyond happy with the end result. Below are some of the pictures we captured throughout the day.... enjoy!

All the pups are doing great so far. Most importantly, they are eating well and gaining weight (even little Blue)!

The pups are now 2 weeks old! Everyone, including Hoosier, is doing great. All 4 pups have tripled their birth weight (!!!), and now they are slowly beginning to open their eyes and stand (er, wobble) on all four legs. Below are some pics from the past week. Enjoy...there will be many more to come!

The pups are 3 weeks old today! They are opening their eyes and standing on all four legs much more often throughout the day. They also continue to pack on the pounds...listed below are their current weights, with their % increase since birth in parentheses. Also, enjoy some pics from the past week...and as usual, more will be on the way!
Blue: 4 lbs, 5 oz (+400%)
Purple: 5 lbs, 10 oz (+403%)
Red: 6 lbs, 13 oz (+355%)
Pink: 6 lbs, 10 oz (+352%)

The pups are now 5 weeks old! They are very active now and their personalities are really beginning to show. They started on puppy mush about 10 days ago and also continue to nurse on their mother in between meals. And as always, they continue to pack on the pounds. Listed below are their current weights, with their % increase since birth in parentheses. One other highlight from the past week was that they got to meet their dad Cyrus for the very first time (couple of pics below)!
